The Golden Wastes
Druids do not propitiate the Celestial Immortals, but the Titanic powers of nature and the deep earth. Their rites are different from the clerics, and they receive different powers from their devotions. The divine power available to the druids is immanent in the world and impersonal. This earth energy, or lungmei, crosses the world in ley lines, energy fields, vortices, and fissures that bring the land and sky, fire and water into balance. Druids believe this energy is a legacy of the creation of the world by the Titans and may come from the Titans themselves.
The confluence of these energies sometimes gives birth to higher powers which the druids can call on. They are the Beastlords of animals, Seedbearers of plants, and the Carrion Kings of the deep earth.
Monks and Clerics are sometimes members of the same religious sect, but it is much rarer for Druids to join. While Druids are respected, they typically belong to their own orders and societies and are considered to be more primitive and backwards. The Druids’ emphasis on primal nature does not particularly benefit men while the Immortals of the Clerics are known to be benevolent and thus more popular with civilized people.
